Rectangular cabinet with canted corners standing on four high cabriole legs with gilt bronze sabots; a sliding door underneath a frieze drawer revealing a removable writing slide with green leather lining and compartments for ink bottles opens to one large compartment. The bottom of the cabinet consists of another, hidden drawer which opens to the side. The cabinet is topped by a red marble slab which is surrounded by a small pierced brass gallery.
An elegant and also practical piece of furniture with delicate proportions in its original, unrestored condition, which can be used not only as writing cabinet, but can also serve perfectly as a bar cabinet.
