Small cabinet with curved front and sides standing on small cabriole legs with bronze sabots. Two doors with marquetry “au papillon” open to the cabinet interior consistent of a shelf. Above the doors one large and two smaller drawers with knob-like handles in the shape of gilt bronze monkey heads. Rouge Royal marble slab topping the cabinet and following the shape of the furniture.
Front and sides with excellent vivid mirrored marquetry or marquetry “au papillon”.
Exceptionally charming, excellently crafted small piece of furniture of the Napoleon III era that is perfect for placing in smaller, narrower rooms such as a hallway or guest room.
