A large Louis XV style 8-light crystal-cut chandelier decorated overall in scalloped crystal glass pendeloques with flower jewels. The open pear- or basket shaped frame supports 8 scrolling candle arms which alternate with 4 arms supporting exquisite moulded baluster pinnacles intensifying the lustrous shine of the light arms. The chandelier is topped by splays hung with large cut Louis XV-shaped pendeloques. The central shaft is decorated with glass elements as a so-called “vase enfilade” with vase and baluster shapes and splays displaying crystal glass flowers and pendeloques. The chandelier terminates in a large facetted finial ball.
The impressive size and the imposing use of excellently cut crystal glass pendeloques gives this chandelier its exclusive appearance.
