A charming 18th century Louis XV vanity or coiffeuse standing on slender cabriole legs, all sides and top decorated with elaborate trompe l’oeil cube pattern marquetry, framed with Greek Key corner banding. The top with curved outline divided into three parquetry framed panels hingeing outwards to reveal rose-coloured lacquered box sections, while the central section reveals an adjustable mirror. The front with two drawers and a leather fitted pull out writing slide. The legs are resting in Louis XV pattern gilt-bronze sabots. The geometric cube pattern of this beautiful 18th century coiffeuse corresponds beautifully with its finely curved silhouette and makes it fit perfectly into a modern as well as a classical ambiance.
