A 19th century Louis XVI style gilt-bronze mounted marquetry and mahogany poudreuse or dressing table standing on four slender tapering legs with gilt bronze sabots, joined by a stretcher at the lower part of the table. The rectangular top within a pierced gilt-bronze gallery, the hinged central panel enclosing a mirror, both central panel and side panel with elaborate marquetry depicting flower bouquets. Fitted with a central frieze drawer and one candle slide at each side with green leather lining.
A beautifully executed piece of furniture from the 19th century fitting perfectly not only in a classical but also into a modern ambiance by its straight and timeless outline.
