A rectangular mahogany console table, formed with two giltwood female supports in form of a trapezophore, and two back pilasters raised on a slab plinth. A trapezophore is usually a winged female figure on a lion paw – a design known from archeological excavations in Pompeii. The supports on round bases projecting beyond the rectangular plinth and surmounted by a frieze drawer and a greyish/ black marble top. Shape and form of the console table follows designs by Francois-Honoré-Georges Jacob-Desmalter (1770-1841) and Charles-Joseph Lemarchand (1758-1826).
