Resting on four rectangular tapering fluted legs, a carved green paint and gilt wood console table of curvy outline, the back flat supposed to be fixed to a wall. The table frame is decorated with an openwork frieze formed by acanthus leaves with ribbons and a sequence of rosettes holding laurel garlands. The front of the console table with a central oval giltwood portrait medaillon relief, the corners are accentuated by splendid, elaborately sculpted rams’ heads. The console table is topped by a red marble plate.
The charming contrast of light green paint and gilded parts further enhances the vividness of the rich carving decoration and contributes to the magnificent impression of the console.
