Late 18th century Carrara and black marble ormolu mantel clock, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals signed „Poudra à Paris“, surmounted by a marble vase overflowing with finely chased ormolu flowers, berries and leaves. The angular columns on either side supporting the cylindrical movement casing, each being embellished with stylized pomegranate, flanked by ormolu vases with elongated necks and surmounted by a classical urn. A sunburst pendulum hangs from the silk suspension movement. A drapery-like pierced ormolu decoration comprising foliate, grapes and forget-me-nots appears to be suspended between the two columns. The black marble plinth displays finely chased paterae, the Carrara marble base adorned with an ormolu laurel leave frieze resting over turned bronze feet.
