A Louis XVI oval giltwood wall mirror featuring a finely carved band of gadrooning of convex shape. The paisley-like motif is followed by a concave band and a more detailed foliate band. Water gilding of polished and matte quality with some bleeding of the bole. The rich patina provides depth and beauty to the mirror. The mirror glass a later replacement.
