Pair of XIV style giltwood mirrors of rectangular shape with canted corners and fine corner cartouches, surmounted by a pierced cresting carved with rocaille ornaments, foliage and flowers. The frame as such of undulating contour with a rope design. Fine gesso carving supports the evenly wavy form of the frame. Supported on scrolled feet decorated with cartouches and foliage – a design feature facilitating an additional support and displaying a playfulness in design. The original mirror pane with some corrosion.
