A pair of large late 18th century giltwood, giltmetal cut crystal and coloured glass chandeliers from Genova. Each with a foliate-wrapped giltwood shaft with three wirework scroll tiers hung with crystal cut chains and spheres, the base issuing six scroll branches with elegant high candles. Cone boss ornaments adorned with green coloured glass accentuate the design and interlink chains of drops. With the original chain and ceiling rose. Drilled and wired for electricity. These magnificent chandeliers are of North Italian origin, similar in size and design are the ones of the Church of San Siro, one of the oldest churches in Genoa.
