Pair of 18th Century Louis XVI Neoclassical Gilt Bronze Cassolettes Candlesticks “au Goût Grec”
A pair of Louis XVI period gilt bronze cassolettes that can be turned into candlesticks: raised on a fluted column-shaped pedestal with a square base on four ball-shaped feet, the base decorated with a Neoclassical relief. Each cassolette cast with a baluster vase featuring two handles in the shape of intertwined laurel twigs, surmounted by a laurel leaf decorated cover concealing a candle nozzle.
