Pair of 19th century French Moustiers style faience mythological baluster vases Baluster shaped vases on round base with handles made of two entwined snakes ending in bearded Faun masks. The vases are made of white-glazed faience and are decorated with underglaze color polychrome large cartouches on back and front showing the following mythological scenes:
- Narcissus falling in love with his own reflection
- Orpheus playing the lyre
- Louis XIV as Apollon and Coronis
- Cupid and Psyche
The cartouches are framed with C-scrolls and acanthus leaves, body and foot of the vases are covered with polychrome floral decoration.
