Samson Paris 19th Century Meissen inspired porcelain bronze mount bowl and cover
A gilt bronze Louis XVI style Athénienne-shaped base with rectuangular plinth, four goat-shaped caryatids holding a round ozier relief porcelain bowl within a pierced gilt-bronze neoclassical rim, the domed ozier relief porcelain cover with applied flower twigs and a charming bird-shaped finial. Both bowl and cover decorated with fine and detailed polychrome flower painting. Bottom of the bowl marked with apokryph Meissen-like mark (used by Edmé Samson in the 2nd half of 19th century).
Excellently crafted porcelain and bronze mount.
