Fine Eastern French Louis XVI chest of drawers or commode of high craftsmanship. The three-drawer pinewood carcass veneered in walnut, plum, maple and other woods. The drawers with three mirror-veneered panels, with checkered inlaid banding and fillet inlays, applied with ribbon-tied gilt-brass mounts. Framed with an arrow inlay: an unusual addition and potential reference to a hunting lodge provenience. With corresponding marquetry on sides and top. Raised on tapered square feet.
