A 19th century Chinese blue and red Imari ware bowl mounted on a round Louis XVI style openwork base with four neoclassical scroll feet, the Imari bowl painted with blue and red foliage and scrolls depicting incense burners and tea tables. Two gilt bronze Greek-key handles with laurel swags. The rim of the bowl mounted with a gilt-bronze openwork neoclassical wave frieze and pearl rim.
The French 19th gilt-bronze mounting harmonizes perfectly with the Asian decoration of the Imari porcelain bowl.
