Fine small Louis XV/Transition period side table or so-called “table écritoire” of rectangular shape and aprons of curvy outline, standing on four slender cabriole legs with bronze sabots. The table comprises of two front drawers and one small drawer opening to the side and reveiling compartments for inkwells and quills. The top as well as the front drawers, the sides are decorated with mirrored marquetry with fine curvy banding. Wooden top with small wooden gallery to prevent writing tools to fall off the table. Drawers and feet with Louis XV rocaille motif gilt bronze mounts of fine chasing and beautiful gilding.
