Late 19th Century French Louis XV/Transition Marquetry a la Reine side table
Square table à la chiffonière with canted corners and three drawers standing on four cabriole legs, holding a stretcher with laurel wreath and drapery marquetry and gilt bronze banding between them. All sides of the table with elaborate trelliswork marquetry “à la reine” and a surrounding Greek key frieze zone. The top also decorated with marquetry à la reine and gilt bronze banding. Louis XV-style handles, keyhole surrounding and sabots made of finely cast and gilt bronze.
Excellently crafted small table à la chiffonière with elaborate all-over marquetry which makes the table fit to also be put in the center of a room to add comfort and beauty t a classical ambiance.
